Paul continues to encourage us in our lives of faith as he gives us an example to imitate in Christ’s humility. Wow, what a standard! Yet we have opportunities to be Christ-like in our everyday lives. How can we shine like stars?
There is a temptation to take our faith and keep it in a safe and peaceful place in our lives. We can isolate our life of grace in a cave of religious jargon, familiar rituals, and nice people who are always smiling and joyful. Paul speaks to us from prison about ”grace under pressure.” How can grace shine through even when our external lives and/or internal lives are chaotic, disturbing, and anxiety-filled?
