Youth Ministry

Welcome to Youth MInistry

Youth Ministry at Our Savior exists to prepare youth for a lifelong faith in Jesus Christ. We want to partner with you in raising your teen to know that they are loved and saved by Jesus Christ.

At Our Savior, we are Family Focused

The foundation of the faith of a young person is the nature of faith shaping practices in the Christian home. As a ministry, we seek to support how the faith is modeled and taught at home. Our youth ministry activities and resources are provided with that in mind.

Held every 3 years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to be encouraged in their walk with Jesus Christ and learn about the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity.

The Gathering is more than the five days of the event. The preparation process for the Gathering brings together young people and supportive adults to encourage each other in their baptismal identity. The Gathering provides young people a vision for the vastness of Christ’s Church and equips them for vocational service as they continue their walk with Jesus.

This event is organized byLCMS Youth Ministryin Saint Louis, MO. For additional ways to connect to LCMS Youth Ministry, please visitwww.lcms.org/youth

Middle School

Overview

Middle School is a transitional time for students as they grow in their relationship with God and create ownership in their faith.  Friendships, hands-on experiences, and caring support are also pivotal for providing a nurturing ministry that helps young people find their place in the Church and in life. At Our Savior, we surround our middle school students with grace, love, and room to just be middle schoolers. We also want to support your entire family as you navigate this formative stage in the life of your child.

High School

Overview

High School students need a place to call their own.  They also need a faith to call their own.  At Our Savior, we invest in our High School students by walking beside them as they navigate school, family, and their personal identity.  We enjoy helping them to wrestle with tough questions about their faith and the world around them as they apply God's Word to their daily lives. Our goal for our High School Ministry is to prepare students to be leaders in their faith and disciples to those around them as they live out a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. We also want to support you as parents in their journey, as you will be the ones to walk with them even after they leave high school.

Sunday School

Each Sunday the high school youth meet from 10:15-11:00 AM in room 205 (across from the youth room) to spend time digging into God's Word.
