Some church leaders present Jesus with a question with the intention of trapping Him. His answer gives us some things to think about in our changing local and global situations. What are the “things of this world?” What are the “things of God?”
How does something as simple as water do something so amazing? It's a necessity of life and yet, paired with the Word, the possibilities are EXTRAORDINARY!!
Our reading from Philippians this week includes one of my favorite sections of the scripture: “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say it, Rejoice!” What words of freedom from an uplifted spirit!
This week at Family Worship we're taking a look at the shoulda, woulda, oughta of our sinful nature. It's not all gloom and doom, though! We'll see how it's all balanced out by God's love for His children in forgiveness, salvation and eternal life!!
We have two readings this week that focus on God’s vineyard. Being a vineyard owner myself makes this a little personal. I certainly don’t want my grapes to be sour! And I also don’t want someone else to take my grapes. To get even more personal, I think we are all God’s little vineyards. How is that working for us as individuals?
