LWML National has paid the # 3 grant of the 2021-2013 Biennium for “Thirst to Learn: Bible books for Africa’s Children”, by Lutheran Heritage Foundation, for $100,000. Now money is being gathered for “Making the Next Generation of Disciples for Life - LCMS life Ministry, $92,000.

LWML CNH has the goal of funding every grant from the 2000-2022 Biennium. Grant #12, ‘Food Pantry’ of Bethlehem Lutheran Church Carson City, Nevada just received $3000, and #13, ‘Jacmel Lutheran Home for the Elderly’ in Haiti was funded for $5000. Now we need to collect mites for “Wheels on the Bus”, Trinity Lutheran Church, Gardnerville, Nevada, for $10,000. We need to raise money for the rest of the grants as well, #15-22 by March 31, 2022.   • LWML CNH will hold its Convention in Sparks, Nevada, June 10-12, 2022. The theme is “Trust in God’s Timing” and is inspired by the Bible verse, Psalms 62:8 RSV: Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.

  • Save the Date for a LWML CNH event on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, in Fremont. Judy Huber will lead a study on Proverbs 19:21 NIV, called “In His Time- What We Can Learn from Life’s Interruptions”. Continental breakfast and beverages and dessert will be provided, but you need to bring your own lunch. Registration is $15 and begins in January.
  • The recent event zoomed from Hawai’i LWML was inspiring. Reverend Robert W. Smith spoke on Prayer, and gave us a deeper understanding of prayer life. His book is available on Kindle at Amazon, and is titled, “Keep Me and Keep All”.

Added News: The Our Savior Quilters had successful sales at the November Boutique and were able to donate $376 to be divided between the Endowment Fund and the Youth Gathering. Thank you for helping us raise those funds.
