Anticipating an increased need for support for the homeless community in the Tri-Valley area, Theresa Scharlemann discussed with the Launch Team a way to support Livermore Homeless Refuge’s efforts to meet these needs. Theresa noted that there are currently around 75 homeless individuals in Livermore. As winter approaches, there is a need for the following items to help provide comfort and care for these
individuals:
- Blankets*
- Shoes*
- Sleeping bags*
- Wipes
- Hand Sanitizer
- Socks
- Coats*
* Items do not need to be new.
During the month of November, we will be these collecting items to pass along to Livermore Homeless Refuge through Theresa. If you have items that you would like to donate to support this effort there will be a collection basket in the sanctuary on Sundays or items can be dropped by the office during the week. If you have questions contact either Theresa Scharlemann or Dave Rueter. The deadline for donations is Nov. 28. Collection baskets can be found in the sanctuary entryway.
