Spiritual ToolBox

We have a great God that meets us where we are and wants to interact with us. But sometimes it can be hard to spend time with our loving Savior because we don't always see, hear, or feel him like we do with other relationships in our lives. That's why we need our ToolBox. The tools on this page are called Spiritual Disciplines, and they will help us to connect with God in ways that makes His presence known and helps us to grow in our faith and in our relationship with Him.

New tools will be added weekly!

  • Count your blessings

Make a list of all the people and things in your life that God has blessed you with. Don't leave anything off. Take time to make an exhaustive list and then thank God for your many blessings. See what God's Word says on how the Lord blesses us: Philippians 4:19.

  • Read the bible as a letter from god

Scripture is God's Word, made up of what He desires for us to know about Him. What would it be like to read the Bible as if God were writing it just for you. Pick a chapter from the Bible and read it. While you do, think about what God is saying specifically to you and what he wants you to know. Then think about what your letter back might say.

  • Meditation for peace

Stress and anxiety are a part of life, but 2020 seems to be overflowing with them. Take time today to meditate and find peace through life's stresses. Start off with deep, slow breathing. Then imagine yourself resting in God's arms. With every breath you take, you are breathing in His spirit of peace. When something pops into your head (school, family, stress, anxiety, etc.), imagine placing it at His feet and then go on breathing and imagining yourself in His arms. If something feels too big to lay at God's feet, tell Him about it. He wants to trade your burdens for His peace. Spend as little or as much time meditating as you wish.

  • doodle prayer

It's exactly how it sounds. Doodle your prayers and while you do, talk to God about them!

  • Spiritual Gifts inventory

God has made us all unique and has given you gifts through the Holy Spirit to serve Him and others. To discover areas you might be gifted in, take this inventory. Then look up scriptures and stories in Scripture that can help you to understand how to use your gifts.
