Every year, Samaritan’s Purse partners with churches, schools, and individuals around the country to provide shoeboxes filled with gifts and the love of Jesus to children around the world. Like last year, OSLM will be collecting shoeboxes once again.
Shoe boxes will be available as of Oct. 14. You can stop by the administrative offices or for school families, boxes will be available at either drop-off and pick up Oct 14-16. Instructions for filling a shoebox can be found below.
Boxes are to be returned on Nov. 10. Anyone interested in helping with the distribution, collection, or delivery of boxes to the Samaritan’s Purse drop off location can contact Dave Rueter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shoe boxes will be available as of Oct. 14. You can stop by the administrative offices or for school families Dave Rueter will be available at either drop off or pick up during that week.
Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox.
Boxes can also be picked up at school drop off or at the ministry administrative office suite.
If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately.
Decide whether you will pack for a girl or boy, and the age category:
Select a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.
Donate $9 online and receive a label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift.
Your $9 per gift donation is critical in helping with shoebox processing, shipping, and gospel materials.
Attach a Follow-Your-Box tracking label to your shoebox, and you can use their Lookup Tool to find out the country where your box will be delivered with the message of Christ’s love.
School: Send your boxes with your kids on Nov. 10. Classes will bring boxes to a collection area on campus.
Church: Bring your boxes by the office by Nov. 10.
Please make sure that you have taken care of the shipping donation and label prior to drop off.
